Joe’s Lawn Care Raises Money For The MS Society

Joe takes on a mammoth 100km Peak District challenge to raise money for the MS Society.

Boss man, Joe Page takes on one of the most physically and mentally demanding Peak District challenges, a full 100km in 24 hours. That’s over 62 miles, over rocky terrain with a 2450m climb! Joe likes his cake and beer, and has actually never ran more than 10km, so it was a big deal when he announced this challenge to the office.

Joe is raising funds for the MS Society to fund ground-breaking research and support people living with the condition.

For every donation made, Joe’s Lawn Care will match!

Joe’s story:

Those of you who know me well are aware that I like a good challenge…

With this in mind I have signed up for the Peak District Challenge on the 9th July.

Whilst I consider myself to be a man of modest fitness, I have never ran a marathon. In fact the furthest I have ran is roughly 10km. The Peak District Challenge is an ultra marathon – 100km including 2.5km of ascent. To spice things up further I have given myself less than 7 weeks to train my body for the physical test. As I said, I like a good challenge…

I will be raising both awareness and money for the MS Society – a cause close to my heart.

I would really appreciate any donations to this worthwhile charity and I will be sure to share my immaterial suffering after the event itself!

About the MS Society:

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. This causes a range of symptoms like blurred vision and problems with how we move, think and feel. Their goal is to find treatments for everyone. Until then, they’re working to make sure no one has to face MS alone. They fund a range of projects to understand MS and improve diagnosis, treatments and services.
